Thacker Avenue Elementary is home of the WILDCATS! We strive to meet and exceed the needs of every learner on their journey to greateness. It is a vibrant and diverse school that excels in fostering both academic and extracurricular excellence. Academic excellence is a cornerstone of Thacker Avenue, with a strong emphasis on rigorous learning and high achievement. The school is fortunate to offer a Dual Language academic program which allows students to work towards becoming bilingual in a multicultural academic setting. The school also offers a dynamic cross-country and track and field program, encouraging students to develop their physical fitness and teamwork skills. The Battle of the Books competition ignites a passion for reading and critical thinking among students, while the 21st Century Afterschool Program provides enriching activities that extend learning beyond the classroom. Family engagement is actively promoted, creating a supportive community where parents and guardians are integral to the educational process.
